May 2025 — IDP Education, in collaboration with international payments provider Flywire, has unveiled a new global initiative aimed at easing the financial burden for students studying abroad. The Fly Higher with IDP and Flywire Awards Programme will distribute a total of US$150,000 to international students in the form of 50 individual awards valued at US$3,000 each.
The programme is open to students who make at least two qualifying payments through Flywire for eligible international education expenses via IDP Education between May 1 and July 31, 2025. Eligible payments include tuition, accommodation, health insurance, and banking services.
According to IDP and Flywire, the initiative is intended to alleviate some of the financial stress faced by students preparing to start or continue their academic journeys overseas.
“Our students trust us with one of the most important decisions of their lives — pursuing their dreams through international education,” said Lucy Williams, Product Manager at IDP Education. “This trust goes beyond academic guidance; it extends to every part of their journey, including finances. We understand that financial aspects, such as visa costs and savings requirements, can weigh heavily on students’ minds.”
Williams added that the partnership with Flywire is designed to address these challenges and empower students to focus on their studies with greater confidence.
Award recipients will also be invited to share testimonials on how the funding has impacted their education and study abroad plans.
Students interested in applying can find full eligibility criteria and application details on the official campaign website.
