This significant funding includes Rs 1 billion earmarked specifically for scholarships in the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries worldwide.

Managed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the program focuses on sending bright Pakistani students to prestigious international universities for advanced education in critical fields. It is a cornerstone initiative designed to cultivate a highly skilled academic and research workforce to drive Pakistan’s scientific, technological, and socio-economic progress.

In addition, the federal budget allocates Rs 20 billion for related education programs, including Rs 1.97 billion for the Pak-UK Education Gateway Initiative and Rs 4.06 billion for the Fulbright Scholarship Support Program in collaboration with HEC and USAID.
